Hibiscus powder has a tart flavor. It is traditionally used in teas and smoothies. It is also used as a food colorant. Try making a reduction sauce with orange juice and honey for duck or fish. Hibiscus can be used as a citrus substitute. We add it to our Lemon Pepper for a bit of extra tartness.
