Cilanto Lime Crema – 2026 Apron Gala

Ingredients

1 cup Fresh Cilantro, chopped (large stems removed)

3 tablespoons Lime Juice (we recommend freshly squeezed)

1 Garlic clove

1/2 teaspoon Pacific Blue Sea Salt

1/2 cup Hemp Hearts (shelled hemp seeds)

1/2 cup Water

Optional:

Avocado

Greek yogurt

Olive oil

Chimichurri Blend

Salsa en Polvo Blend

Procedure

Combine the top six ingredients in a blender. Taste and adjust as needed to suit your palate, keeping in mind the flavors will continue to develop and intensify as it cools in the fridge.

Notes:

Cilantro Lime Crema will have a shelf life of five days in the refrigerator. 

Adding an Avocado helps create a richer and creamier sauce. 

If you want a substitute for the Hemp Hearts, you can replace them with 1 cup of Greek Yogurt, decrease the Lime juice to 1 tablespoon, and add 2 tablespoons of olive oil.

Cashews are another ingredient you can use to substitute for Hemp Hearts.
